Very poor service. Sad becos it's a lovely place with good decor.
Great coffee, lovely atmosphere and well researched range of eco and healthy products.
I would like to say it was great but it wasnt.The food was very clean but very bland.The staff were efficient, thats about it.Lunch on a Tuesday, only a couple of other people in there.We had the burrito bowl and some other bowl of blandness. The burrito bowl was meant to have beans and rice but it was rice with maybe 15 beans hidden in there, a couple of slivers of avocado, undressed salad, and some corn chips which were the tastiest thing on the plate. The other bowl was tasteless except for a tahini/honey goo that I liked but my partner did not.The 2 bowls and 2 chai (overly sweet powder chai) cost $42 which is not totally over the top, but Ive had better salads from a service station for much less.Now the service.I am guessing the owner was not present as the staff showed absolutely nothing to us that showed any appreciation for 2 new customers.Lets be clear, we did not need to be appreciated.... but ... will I go back there ... no.I would rather spend my money somewhere that makes me feel welcome.I think it is great there is an organic, healthy food place in Bilo, but old fashioned friendliness goes a long way.We had said nothing about the bland food or the cheap ass chai, so there was no ill will towards us, and, there was nothing else either. The staff simply watched us head to the door and leave.... I suspect for the last time.
Very nice decor drew us in. Lovely coffee and the Burrito Bowls were just brilliant. Know where I will have lunch in town every time I visit.
Found this place on beanhunter and had a lovely coffee and gluten free dairy free paleo muffin. Loved the decor at Odd Spot. Staff friendly.
